Wanted to share this with you. My Blue Orpington (Emma) took over egg keeping duties from Mrs Dot Duck when she went for a bath!!

I first spotted her do it yesterday when a Magpie got into the run. Emma sat on the eggs until I chased it away and fixed the netting.

(I added the run over the nest in the hope that if she manages to hatch them I may be able to protect the babies from the cockerel and hens she lives with!)
