Late last year i hatched out two ducklings(both drakes) from eggs
from my 4 other ducks(3 girls and a boy). We introduced them
fully after slowly introducing them. THey were all well untill
the drake and his like favourite mating partner began to pick on
one of the new babies. I am now getting worried as he doesnt like
goeing to bed and when i put him inside he gets chased
round.
Why has it changed???
What can i do?????

Not really a duck person but do know come the breeding season
many drakes will chase one duck and they do a lot of squabling,
the more mature drakes will drive off the young pretenders. Maybe
the drakes need abit more space apart at this time of year. i
know they get on ok in the winter.

Yeah drakes do squalbal alot if there are not enough females. I
would either give them more space or sperate him from the others
with enough duck to keep it company and introduce them in the
middle of the the summer when breeding season is almost over. I
have done this in the past i can't give them any more space because
they have to much space and dont use it all but i have sperated
them from the flock before. Enougher solution is sell excess drakes
but this is hard as you have grown them up from ducklings. Good
luck!!
