Mating Japanese bantams

I have two pairs of Japanese bantams, one white-tailed and the other black. I want to start trying to breed them and need to know if keeping them as separate pairs is the done thing. Both pairs have an indoor enclosure measuring 4 feet by 2 feet high by 2 feet deep. Is this enough for them and do I just let them get to it, or should I monitor them to see what is happening? Do I need to give them a nest box, if so what size? should I leave the hen to hatch any viable eggs or use the incubator? So many question and I don't seem to be able to find any answers online. Most of the online stuff deals with the breed standards and general topics.
Thanks to you all in advance for any replies
