My pekin bantams came into lay about 5-6 months old, when they
started to lay conistantly also this time of year for POL birds to
start laying will take longer. This is to do with tempreture and
sunlight. Sunlight is a key factor becaue they have a
pineal gland that detects light which inturns realeases a hormone
to tell the bird to lay a eggs. This is why in winter chickens and
ducks slowly stop laying and only lay an eggs every other day. When
the weather clears up and gets warmer they will be laying loverly
little eggs for you everyday. Hope this helps
