The best start for chicks

So what do you think is the best way to start off your chicks/ducklings & give them the best possible start.

Do yo use a heat lamp or electric hen? Corrugated cardboard or shavings? Probiotics in their water?

Share your advice & tips here & help other member's give their birds the best start!
