Hiya,
i have a maran bantam and she has been like wanting to 'bonk' my
other pekin bantam hen and make her bleed and cut her comb and at
night my maran makes a nest and she does not like any of the other
chickens to go near her when she makes her nest, does this mean she
wants a cockeral?.

Sounds more like she is going broody if she is very protective of
the nest that she makes. Had she lost any feathers that she's
pulled out to make the nest?

She is not broody because she is normal in the day. She has lost no
feathers.

Hi Chicken Boy,
Do you have a cockerel in with the girls, if not, then she is
taking over the dominant role of the cockerel
& is top of the picking order.
