Well it is not long to go now until the National Poultry Show. We will be attending and having a stand. It will be the first show we are attending and we are hoping to meet many members and bring the site to the attention of many other people.

If you have any ideas or thoughts on our stand, please let us know. We want it to be a clear expression of what Poultry Talk. com is, what it stands for and what are members can do, so there for, you as our members have an important say, and as always we always like to hear your views and ideas.

We look forward to seeing you at the show, and feel free to discuss the National in general here.

I'd love to know more about the show. What kind of thing is there to see/buy/do? Is there a good choice of equipment on trade stands, and things like that?
I didn't know if there was much for me, as someone happy with a band of hybrids, rather than show birds.
As I said, I'd love to know more...

Hi Weeley.
Thank you for your post.
I would love to tell you more about the show but my information is limited. I will be setting up our stand at the show and their for the whole weekend but it is my first time of attending the National and indeed of attending a poultry show of this size so I am very excited to be going and seeing such a vast array of stunning birds as well as looking forward to meeting many members and hopefully bring the network to lots of new fanciers and interested people.

As far as trade stands go I believe they are quite varied. I gather Omlet who make the Eglu's will be going, along with several different poultry equipment and gift sellers as well as The Battery Hen Welfare trust. I think also there are more this year and they will be in a seperate area as the show is in a new hall. The best thing to do though for more information is to try and contact Toddy Hamilton-Gould on 01869 346554 or maybe another one of our members who has visited before will be able to tell us more?

Regards,
Jamie.

Thanks Jamie, that gives me some more of an idea. Let's home someone else who goes regularly will give some more info. I did send off for the catalogue but it didn't give details except show bird classes. If I come, I'll pop along and introduced myself - it would be great to meet you.

Well I am pleased to say I really enjoyed attending the show. Nice to meet so many members, advertisers and supporters and hopefully bring the site to many more. I see some new sign ups have been through the National promotion but only time will tell with this. I hope and think it has been very worth while and it was certainly great to see so many birds and speak to people!

Here is a photo of our stand:

Hi Kate.
Thank you. Glad you think so.
Hope you enjoyed the rest of your time at the National and managed to get some well deserved rest.

Yes hopefully, Paco will be taking the roll up banner with a leaflet dispenser to the Federation and the same possibly going to the Scottish National. Maybe the Reading bantam show as well, depends where I can fit them in or if they can be taken along.

Will have to see your birds early next year I think, been a busy week, but I am off tomorrow and then only a couple more days off before xmas so I will let you know when I am around 'your way' again.

Jamie :)
