Nope, all you have to do is make sure the eggs are a good shape and
size, reasonably clean (but I wouldn't advise washing) and less
than 7 days old when you send them (always send first class or
special delivery to avoid delays) and eggs should be posted in
polyboxes to prevent damage.

As well, when storing it is best to keep the eggs point down, it
prevents the yolky bit getting pinched and stuck at the top.
Meaning they last allot longer. I have used eggs before that are
nearly 2 weeks old and have had brilliant results from them.

If you are going to sell hatching eggs then it's best if to check
the fertillity yourself first
as most people want to know what your hatch rate is.
Also when listing hatching eggs, state hatching results but only
replace on fertillity, there are too
many factors to consider, what with the postal system &
incubators.
The postal system & Defra have new rules, which state that all
hatching eggs must be sent by speacial delivery
& chicken keeper will only replace if the eggs have been sent
that way.

Don't forget to turn the eggs at least every 12 hours before
incubating, this prevents the membrane sticking, so you get better
results.

I always turn my eggs 3 times a day, so they never spend the night
resting
the same end as the night before.
