Hi,
I am Louise and I live in Cornwall. Just over 2 years ago I bought a trio of bantam Welsummers, then i bought feeders, then the next day my husband built a house for them! Completley back to front, but all worked out ok!
Then a few months later I aquired another young hen from a friend. She went broody this summer and hatched 3 E bay eggs, just over 4 weeks ago, they are very lovely, but not sure about breeds, so will post seperatley about that!
Then I thought I could add some more day old to her brood, but unfortunatley she decided to reject them the next moring, so I have now reared 2 cream crested legbar and 2 Bantam Rhode Island reds. Unfortunatley the night the eggs were hatching, my older Welsummer died.
I spend as many hours of my day as I can just watching my hens and chicks - My husband thinks I am obsessed!
Anyway, nice to meet you all.
