Hello everybody ive just moved to portugal and have already got 11 chickens, i kept three hybrid hens at home in England for a few years and i just fell in love with chickens!! i can watch them for hours. I had a true chicken surviver in England my Pat. She was a white star and on firework night last year a fox got into the chicken run and the hatch was left open to the coop :( so unfortunately i lost Pat and Peggy but Pat survived it, i was amazed how she could have been so lucky. Then a few months later i thought id lost her again when she didn't come home for two nights on the trot, then a next door neigbour come to our house and told us Pat had been staying in there garden and laying them eggs in their flower pots. I rehomed her back in England with my old science teacher and she is now living on a farm with lots of other chickens. Cant wait to join in with all the chicken chat and share all differant pictures of peoples chickens. Speak soon Lotty
