hi all my hen has hatched 9 chicks yesterday they are brill but when will mum let them out from under her so they can feed and run about ?????? can any one help i have put food and water in for them but when i move mum of she jumps back on them

Don't worry, mum tends to keep them under her for a couple of days, then she will encourage them out to eat and drink when she feels the time is right. A quick tip make sure the water container is shallow, or pop a few stones in the bottom, to help prevent the chicks getting chilled in the first few days. Good luck, 9 is a good number hatched so well done!
