Flyte so fancy is the best place to buy poultry products from they
have very helpfull staff and are very quick at delivering even if
it is a little pricey its worth it ^___^
Anything by Diatomascus is the best thing to treat all of the above
however lice you will need lice barrier powder as the other
products dont seem to work i would also recomend monthly checks as
lice can be easily missed by newbies, regular handling will also
get them used to all the fussing and make the hens friendly
:>
Barrier V1 disonfectent is also very good not only can u use it in
the chicken coops you can also use it on all surfeces and in the
house :>
something called Flubbervet? I think thats it is the best stuff for
controlling worms aided with ACV (apple cyder viniger but make sure
its propper poultry stuff not from the supermarket)) Garlic cloves
chopped up are also good for aiding in the controll of worms and
internal parasites, my hens go nuts for chopped garlic ^___^
And if you get some doggy tennis balls, make a resonable hole in it
and stuff it full of treats for the hens it will act as a good
boredom buster my polands love chassing down their tennis balls for
meal worms. Hanging cabbeges and brocoli up for the chooks is
another good way to to prevent boredom.

Try Regency poultry.com seems decent and the best wormer is
Flubenvet can get it on line. it comes in 60g at 1% just mix
following instructions. There are plenty of books on line about
chickens. May be worth a look thats how I learnt about chickens
when I decided to keep them.

There are many products on the
market, some licensed and tested and others not tested. There is
considerable resistance to chemicals in red mites and there are
many products which are of little use. Permethrins of various
sorts are used widely and are from a " natural " source. Where it
is possible to treat individual birds the ivermectin type product
applied to the skin will treat mites, lice and worms. The main
licensed wormer is Flubenvet which has a zero egg withdrawal and
is usually very effective.
Lice are less easy to treat as
they tend on feathers and debris which requires application of an
insecticide to the body of the bird. You shouldnt have lice as a
problem anyway.
Try looking at
www.chickenvet.co.uk for further advice and supplies
of products.

Hi, i have only kept birds for 39 years, 3 years studying poultry
and avian species at college 24 years in the poultry industry meat
and egg management uk and canada. 10 years with HOMOEOPATHY and
natural products. i make no medical claims. Always consult a vet.
vets out of 7 years studying are lucky to do 6 weeks on birds, we
use to get them through our college for 2 weeks. there are some
great vets out there who specialise in avian species, power to
their elbow. testimonies speak for themselves. happy to help. Keep
it natural, always! www.allcreatureshealthcheck.com Colin.
call anytime, i will call you back, save your phone bill!
