Hello from essex

Hi am new im from Essex!

Been a poultry keeper 8 years now and ive kept all sorts, marans,silkies hybrids,polands and brahmas :>

I have 7 hens my Polands are my favourites and are the oldest at four years old now and still going strong they have a very strong immune systerm and never seem to be ill which im pleased about but they are very vocal especially when laying eggs! They are the friendliest of all the hens i have and virtually chase me down for a cuddle o.0 My best layers are the hybrids i get an egg a day almost but on very hot days they tend not to lay much so due to weather egg production has been fairly slow. I also find the polands are the smartest of all the hens too ^^
