chick vacinations

Hi can anyone give me some advice on if chicks need to be vacinated please? and if so would I get it from my vets?

Chicks in the UK are not generally vaccinated, some folks have mareks prone breeds vaccinated, but most people don't bother, that's what's so good about being an island! In Europe, such as Germany, and Holland, etc. they by law, have to have birds vaccinated, so to do the Americans, but we don't. It's very costly, and only worth doing if you are a commercial breeder, who keeps huge amounts of laying hens. But the general hobbyists are safe for now and it's not a requirement.
