If you are breeding poultry we advise the use of our canvas poultry saddles. These protect the hen from the spurs on an active cockerel.Damage can be severe, and lead to death via infections. We have lost hens in the breeding season due to this, so saddles are a must.

Wow Jane, what a cracking website and most useful!! We have used saddles on our orps for a few years now, and wouldn't dream of being without them, i love the way your make has a buckle to ensure a good fit! Cracking idea! A well made, strong sturdy saddle, Well done! Will have to buy a couple from you and test drive them out! Thanks.

Can A saddle also protect the area on the hen from the others girls pecking her back? we have one little girl that the others pick on as she is the sweetest and most layed back! I was thinking of getting some to help her heal as well as keep the other hens from pecking that area of her back! she also seems to be the roos favorite girl as well!
Thanks Kimberly!

Thanks for all that have supported us this year, and we hope that our saddles have protected your girls, and given you peace of mind.If anyone still wants a saddle just let me know as these are available all year round.
We are hoping to design a new saddle with side protection flaps, so keep a look out for these on our site.
xxx Jane
