We are way excited as we have had our ladies for a few weeks now -
Easter arrival. First egg landed about 1 week ago and was a
wonderful double yolker. My children were very sure that the reason
was as they are twins the chickens were also having twins.
We have a bluebelle, ginger nut, sussex and an amber star. Betty,
Harriet, Not So and Amanda
I am so happy we took the plunge. They are my babies and are so
funny when i visit them as they follow around like toddlers do.
Garden being landscaped at the moment so the girls have a temporary
pen which is not ideal as one of them ,Harriet, makes daily escapes
to "help" the gardener. She is having a ball with him raking the
ground for her. She just follows him up and down picking off the
treats as they appear.
Anyone else got chickens near me?? SK8. Cheers, Jo

Hello Joanne...... I'm in St Helens, which is about 1/2 an hour
from you!
I keep my bigger birds on my allotment and have a few bantams in my
back garden. ....... if it was up to me, they would live in the
house!
