We keep a very large cabinet of alsorts just in case, inside there are Large scissors (for wing clipping) small razor scissors, open weave bandages, sticky plasters (great if you have a chick with splayed legs) various grades of sutchers, anti fungal spray, anti feather peck spray, a tub of tylan and euromicin, liquid parafin for scale mites, superglue (can be used on minor wounds, better than sutchers) large, medium and small hyperdermic needles, a good sharp knife and a humane dispatch tool. as well as all of these we keep a large stock of concentrated seaweed, oregostim, concentrated vitimin and mineral suppliment, and a large tub of diatom for treating parasites.

Ours is a bit extreme but we usually hold about 200 birds in our flock so its always better to be safe rather than sorry.

I would always recommend a small first aid kit for anybody who keeps poultry. a small bandage, anti feather peck, a good anti fungal spray and some anti biotics either Euriomicin or Tylan, and of course a quarentine cage just in case of any contagious infections

As we show regularly, we have a travel first aid kit at all times in the van, it's basic containing the usual bandages, scissors, and saline water, antiseptic cream, wound powder and a little bottle of ACV (great for stemming bleeding in both chooks and humans!) etc.
At the house we have an extensive one containing again all the basic bandages, plaster tape(micropore), antiseptic wound powder, gentian violet spray, nail clippers, sand paper and pliers (spur trimming) various needles and syringes both oral and injection, ACV, frontline spray, knock down louse powder, wormer solution, superglue, various sized saddles (great for covering wounds on the backs to prevent pecking from other birds), eye wash, cicatrin powder, bottle of neat iodine, ibulieve gel for sprains, magnisium sulphate for drawing poultices,Benzyl Benzoate for scaly leg, eye drops for infected eyes and a tube of arnica gel. All other antibiotics etc we may need, we get direct from the vet so we know they are well within date, as we use ACV regularly as a maintainance dose, we don't tent to need them very often.
