It's got to be Brahmas for me, large, beautiful and have the most lovely nature. I started with one 10 months ago, now have 5. I 've always liked Orpingtons, but my splash girl is not as good natured as the Brahmas, they love their cuddles!

Has to be brahmas, large, beautiful and docile what more could you ask for.

I love Brahmas, they are just so impressive and majestic. Orps are great when good quality and are so friendly. Modern game because they look like they are on stilts and Serama. All are very friendly and stand out form the crowd. Oops was I supposed to pick one!

Any of the "top hat" breeds. They're just sooooo cool!

Having kept load of chickens over a long period of years, from nearly "A" - "Z" I have narrowed it down to the following "F", "O" "S" & "W" Frizzles being now in the larger variety, Orpingtons in large and bantam variety, Sultans being in the colours of white, black and cuckoo and Wyandottes in large silver lace and bantam lavenders. I ve got to be honest I love my Warrens they may be red and boring but dull they aint! lol They all have lovely temperaments and are full of personality! I also love my Marran cock, he is a little sh*t for anyone except my daughter who walks round with him tucked under her arm like a baby - if I did that he d try to eat me! lol

I love my big girls! Partridge Wyndottes. They`re totally gorgeous, come to me when called, follow me around the kitchen, lay gorgeous eggs.. and are loving towards the chicks, one always wants to "mother" them tho they`re not hers nor the same breed..

Just started keeping poultry and I've just put my first batch of 6 Red Sussex eggs in the incubator this morning. I wanted an old English breed and Sussex fit the bill for me. I also like Wyandottes but will stick to Sussex for the time being.
