Hi all,
I've been keeping chickens for just under a year now and really
love them. I had a cockerel which was aggressive towards me so i
finally sold him last weekend but had to sell my lovely hybrid
ladies too otherwise he would never have sold plus i felt it wasnt
fair to split them up as they had been together from a few days
old.
I have been incubating some silkie eggs which hatched on 4th March
only for me to discover that 3 of them were transylvanian naked
necks instead I love them none
the less though so all i have now are my 3 TNN's and one silkie
chick possibly blue but looks more like brown
I am going to be hatching lots more this year though. Look forward
to getting to know you all
Gill xx

I started with ducks (pets) and geese (to guard the paddock) and
was persuaded to get 3 hybrids for eggs as my husband doesn't like
duck eggs. I now have less ducks, no geese and loads of chooks. I
have a mixed flock of hybrids, vorwerk, cochin, sussex, marans,
cream legbar cockerel with some eggs in the incy hoping to get some
ladies for him and a trio of large white Croad langshans. I have a
trio of large black croads on order and still have 11 assorted
ducks.

welcome to the forum!
I once had a nasty cockerel, in the end he had to go too- we had
him and one other chick from day old and he just felt he was
incharge and made our lives hell!
Sorry you had to sell your hens too.
As for TNN i hatched some once- they remind me of dinosaurs, but i
found them to be such characterful birds- good for eggs too!
Hope you enjoy the forum and make friends.

Hello! Welcome to the forum! I love TNN's!! Just never had the
courage to keep any! I love the feather 'hat' on top of their
heads! A friend of mine had quite a few of them, and they do make
you laugh, like mini-turkey's! Hope you enjoy the site.
