Hi
I have got my incubator back out and ready to go.

I have purchased from 5 different breeders Copper Blue/Black and Splash Maran Hatching Eggs. From these i will get either the Black, Blue or Splash chicks.

I really like the dark brown eggs, if i put a dozen mixed colour eggs out on a tray every time people would pick the dark brown eggs.

I am due to set the eggs in the incubator on Thursday/Friday

Anyone else on here got Marans??

Good luck with the incubator hope you get some good results. I have a Marran cockerel Burdie, not sure but i think he is a cuckoo marran, and we did have a couple of marran youngsters we had from day old chicks but we had one stolen when she was 3 months old from inside the shed and we lost the last one attempting to lay her first egg poor sod. I m hoping to get a few more in the spring as they were really nice character birds, as well as having a bash at hatching some of our own burdie cross warren home grown eggs!
