Hi ScarlettBuffy
Sadly my poor little girl died yesterday afternoon, Im not sure whether the egg was just too big or what as she was quite petite, we tried the warm bath and the warm nest box with a warm hot water bottle but sadly it did nt work! Gutted
Thanks Alex

So sorry to hear that. It's a horrible way to lose one, but seems to happen quite often sadly. Best of luck with your future hatching.

Do you think is what happened to my hen? I have been away for 3 days and the neighbour has been looking after my hens (she has hens of her own so I was quite happy). Yesterday I got a call to say my light sussex had a lot of bleeding and yuck coming out her back end. Unable to get back until today but sadly, she died overnight. Was there anything we could have done to help her (the hen not the neighbour!)
I am new to chicken keeping and this was quite a shocking thing to happen
Was she egg bound (the hen not the neighbour!)
Does this happen often?
Is it alright to get a replacement?
Your thoughts please
Love j
