Scooter, my little bantam hamburg/aracauna X has been sitting on eggs. Well I thought they were overdue and had read on the other posts and forums that over 22 days and they would be a no hatch. I decided to give her a couple of days leeway, but today went down to her hutch with the intention of removing the eggs if there was no show. What was there, but a tiny, fluffy, exhausted little black chick, complete with half a soggy egg shell which means it had only just hatched. Well I did the water test with the other one and it definately bobbed so will give that a couple of extra days too. I must have seriously got the dates wrong, that is one very lucky little chick but so beautiful!

Awww fantastic news Rosie! I had something similar with my quail eggs. I had a few hatch, removed them and put them in the brooder. Went to check the eggs left in the incubator before turning it off and there were another couple of chicks cheeping away, so they were lucky as they were several days overdue.
