Wow, I can only keep a few of my favourites (I'm looking for some
more land). He is absolutely gorgeous. I really wanted some
Exchequer Leghorns for some nice white eggs and some colourful
layers but I've changed my mind.

I dont like exchequer i found from experience they can be nasty
whereas mottled leghorn seem to have an amazing temperment only
problem is they like roosting in trees and are very flighty...

Great thread idea Drew, but really hard to decide!
For me I think chicken wise it would be:
1 - Pekin Bantam ...Such a lovely nature, and such a great range
of colours, I am a huge fan of this bantam.
2 - Barb d Uccle....Since only ever owning one hen which we still
have and now 7, she is loved to bits, so pretty and such a tame
bird.
3 - Seramas....Well after hearing quite a lot about them, seeing
so many photos of them in such a great selection of colours and
Drew's constant recommendation these sound like a great
breed.
4 - Orpingtons....Huge fluffy birds, very majestic and now
extremely popular, they come in some lovely colours and have a
great placid nature.
5 - Australorp....Maybe not a breed which has seen great
popularity which is a shame but they are very attractive,
friendly, have a great nature, lay lovely eggs too!
6 - Silkie....Never actually had any yet but I would like. Like
most people I am attracted by their looks!
7 - Wyandotte...Another breed which comes in some really pretty
colours (love the blue and buff laced) and are quite
popular.
9 - Brahma...Never kept them but look like such placid majestic
birds again. In some really pretty colours as well.
10 -Cream Legbars....Laying lovely blue eggs, very attractive and
auto-sexing as well, what a bonus!
Oh and those Red Mottled Leghorns look very nice too!
Regards,
Jamie.
