I have a serama pullet, she is about 8 weeks old she is outdoors
but still on some heat. She is bred from a male I bought From
Carrie Wright, bred to my own Best AOC True bantam female who won a
huge class at The Pembrokeshire Agricultural show, and has won her
class every time she has been shown. Lovely little pullet, from
show winning bloodlines as Carrie recently won Champion Serama at
the National show 2009 and I won 2nd and 3rd at the National with a
cockerel and cock bird 2009. At present she is very small, and a
lovely rich tri-coloured mottled colour. I think she will mature to
be a very nice breeder or possibly show quality female although too
soon to tell for sure just yet. But she will definately be better
than a pet quality bird. Im asking £20 for her. I can bring her to
the Federation, however she is still on heat and so would need to
be taken straight home or kept somewhere nice and warm. She is not
old enough to be left in a cold car.

Missed that one, could you please let me know if you are selling
any more pullets at the Fed, I've been looking for some really good
pullets for a while now. Cheers.

I don't have anything at the moment, as I was only selling this
little pullet as she wasn't 100% my own line. I have some eggs in
the bator and so may have some chicks soon if you don't mind
waiting a while until they hatch and then I decide who Im gonna
keep to breed from. I may have some to spare in time for Reading
and District show. Although I can't be 100% sure.

Thanks Julia, could you keep me posted. I am finding breeding good
pullets really hard. What should I look for in a cockerel if I want
to breed good pullets from it?

To be honest my birds are better for breeding males also. Im trying
a new pen out at the moment with a male who is a little tight in
feather, heavy breasted and very broad with simillar females. In
the hope I'll get some better females out.
