Any of you still using your incubator???
I am and am expecting chicks this weekend. I do not
normally do it this time of year but had to due to special orders
from people. Thank god that will be the end of it.
But I do know of some folk that incubate all year
round.!!!! Sandy

Well I have some Quail chicks that have just hatched. Sadly can't
hatch chickens now but when we could we did not hatch this late.
Nice to try it now.
How did your hatch go Sandy?
Regards
Jamie.

Have started back hatching, have 3 chicks in brooder and about 30
eggs in incubator. Was going to be good and wait till spring but
couldn't resist all those lovely eggs wasting away!

yep, you are not alone, I have some hatching this weekend and
another lot next weekend and have about 30 eggs to put into the
incubator. Can't eat chocolate orpington eggs. The last hatch went
well. But our chicks do have extra lights on as if it is summer
time, this way the eat most of the time and the lights are on a
time machine, they come on at 3 and go off at 10 pm. This will give
them maximum light as if it was summer.
