This morning was so cold wet and dark that the automatic door hadn't opened at the usual time. I opened the main shed door to put the 2 chicks in their little run, the 3 Hybrids came rushing out shouting at me as it's my fault the door never opened lol. Out of 9 hens, only the 3 Hybrids came out through the open door, the 5 Brahmas & 1 Orpington all stayed put, waiting patiently for the pop hole to open as usual , so shut them in again Tongue out
They waited 10 minutes for it to open, they came out slowly, very spooked by the disappearance of the 3 Hybrids though the big door...I like to think my big girls are so clever, may have to re think that Wink

No, the Brahmas and Orping had their thinking caps on, knew something was wrong, so waited for the all clear, Surprised if they went through the main shed door there could have been a nasty fox awaiting their plight. They may have thought that the 3 Hybrids was already eaten by Mr/Mrs Fox!!!!!YellWink SandyLaughing

I've only had one of my Brahmas locked out by the auto door, never happened again. She's first in every night and doesn't take any chances Smile

Orpy Lady I'm sure you're probably right, and they were being a little wary, only thing is I was there at the time, they saw me too lol.
