It's scary to believe that we are flying through November and xmas will soon be here. I am sure we all have our favourite seasons and things we prefer as the year passes. Even if it is dark early, getting colder and the weather lately seems to of been rather miserable, it's not all bad I am sure.

Are there any things you particularly prefer about this time of year?

Frosty mornings.. etc..?

I like taking the dogs to the park in the frost with all the leaves on the ground. Not keen on the dark mornings, but I do like the early dark nights when I know the hens are locked up nice and safe. I also love Mulled Wine and iced mince pies, late night Xmas shopping when it's dark is always nice the first time you do it...the novelty wears off pretty fast though Wink

I hate hot weather it really gets me down, Im not made to withstand high temperatures even if they are the usual rubbish UK summers. So I prefer this time of year as Im never to warm and I do love to snuggle up im the evenings and listen to the rain, knowing Im all safe and dry inside the house!
But I hate lightning though! That scares me! Im not bothered by rain, it can rain as much as it wants and it wont bother me. Smile

Going for a run, much nicer when it is cool. Also like Hatherleigh market, prices of birds drop drastically - about £5-£8 for a pekin. Picked a pair of Favs up for £2 last year. Gets expensive in the summer when all the mums with kids get excited over anything that looks a bit cuddly.

I really dislike the rain unless i can go in and get warm again..
but things i love:
The cold outside when your sat inside with big snuggly socks on and a fire.

Walking the dog with all the autumn leaves on the floor/trees- so pretty and good to take pics of.

scarves and big cardis, im a big fan of these- so love being able to use them at this time of year.

Christmas time coming up when i get to see people/ family i havent seen in ages and the general excitement.

and just to be grumpy:
I hate coats, i can never find a good coat i like when its cold.
Also hate looking at the animals all wet and horrible outside, not wanting to come out their houses!!
