I met Fine Fettle Feeds at a couple of shows last year and was given a tub of Happy Tummy charcoal to test out with my birds... I have to say, I was impressed! Smile

It is meant to reduce ammonia, capture toxins and help them digest their food better.

You can feed it mixed in with their layers pellets or in a coop cup for them to take ad lib. I put some up in a coop cup but they made more of a mess with it like that so I put it into their layers pellets and within 2 days I noticed a difference in the poo trays!
The poos were dark, almost black and were definitely much more solid.

I also tried it out with 5 of my Ex Batts and there was a difference in them too. Tracy Beaker has a twisted beak so it was easy to see when she had been eating it as she had a black beak and tongue!

You can get it direct from www.FineFettleFeed.com and hopefully a few more stockists later this year!

Has anyone else tried this? Smile

Never tried it but the birds do like to scratch about in the odd garden bonfire i have, when it,s out, They seem to pick out the bits they want and it does make the poo dark, Must say i dont burn any painted or treated timber if im going to let them scratch in it.
