i go to over 40 shows per year, which i usuallly show at. Some
shows are usually small agrictural shows, so therfore they are
through the week :) i am a well know exhibitor and am happy to go
through steps of showing your birds with anyone!

I went to a show every 2 or 3 weeks during show season last year
but Uni and exams have been getting in the way so couldn't get to
The Northern (also clashed with the Welsh National so went there as
is closer!) or Scottish National this year.
Agric shows and Game Fairs over the summer are good days out too
Am normally the other side and work on trade stands so there days
before and after setting up so get to know lots of people but
also help a friend with her birds and have shown some of my birds
too

Hi, I want to get into showing but don't know where to start. I
would like to show my Pekins and Orpingtons. I don't where to
start when it comes to preparing them for the show. I have looked
into it and some people use shampoo and wash so say just rinse it
is just confusing!
Can anyone help me?
Regards
Jake

Hi,
What we all need to remember is that school / uni / college is
more important in showing, although it may not seem like that at
the time! Lewis - scottish national is one of the best shows i
attend! I do my judging test there every year and think it is
amazing. DM Poultry - if you could send me your email adress i
could send you a starter pack in poultry, which was made for me
and took months! lol, you will get so much out of it, as i do!
When you wash your birds before the show, you can get special
poultry shampoo, but to be honest i use head and shoulders and it
brings out the best in the bird!
