The best way to learn about showing is to go to a few shows and see what its all about, speak to people who show and maybe join breed clubs.

Ideally you'll already have a breed you like and would like to show so will go to local shows, see how your birds compare, how close they are to the breed standards and see if they're ready - if not, you can see what work you need to put into the breeding.
Maybe enter some eggs first just to get used to entering, what to expect etc and then move onto showing birds.

The birds will need to be pen trained and washed a few days before the show, attention to detail getting their legs clean etc. You also learn about whats expected at shows, like they aren't fed the morning of the show until after judging, little things like that Smile
