This weeks topic is all about our members and the birds that they
currently keep...
A list of the breeds you keep and what you keep them for - eg,
pets/showing/breeding/utility...
Any photos you have of them would be a nice addition too

Hi,I live in Tasmania,Australia,and I started with Silkies,then
found Malay Game, so I really have contrasting birds. From soft
fluffies - to very large and almost ugly(but I find them
beautiful!). I love the nature of both the Malays and the silkies.
I have 2 Malay hens that are pets and follow me everywhere, even
into the house. My husband gets furious when they come in,but when
he goes out I let them in,and they peck around the kitchen for all
the crumbs,as we have wood floors,it's easy enough to get rid of
any presents they leave for me! Not very computer savvy, so not
sure how to upload a photo, but will if someone lets me know how!

2 Adult pekins, Mabel (Buff Columbian) and Quigley (Lavender
Frizzle cockerel)

Also have Cilla the Black Silkie, Esmerelda the bantam Welsummer

I keep mine mainly as pets, the hybrids are to get some more

bred from them and have dispatched cockerels for the freezer ... a
bit of everything!!
