Well I have 14 quail chicks and hopefully it will be 16 in a few
hours time. They are all silver Chinese painted, which were
slightly late hatching. I have been away during the week at work,
so when I came home tonight, I checked through the eggs that were
left in the incubator, expecting to hear nothing, and as the eggs
were due last Wednesday, to turn it off.
To my surprise and great excitement I found two more pipping, so
topped up the water, and I hope they will be out in the
morning.
I will try to take some photos tomorrow and will post an update on
the situation! Fingers crossed!!
Jamie.

Hi Drew.
Yes that one was a successful hatch a fair while ago now.
I got my incubator back fixed the other day. So just need to fill
it up again, hopefully on Monday, lol.

I would like to know what the best type of incubator(preferably a
brinsea one, automatic) for hatching out quails, chickens,
pheasants, and partridges.

Hi Honeylushbubbles.
Nice to see you posting in the Forums.
I used an Octagon 20, which had fully automatic turning but was one
of the older models. I had really great results using this for
Quail and have heard extremely good things about them. As for other
birds in the Octagon I personally have not had any experience but I
know people who have found the Octagons very good for
chickens.
Hope that is of some help to you.
Regards,
Jamie.

Thanks PoultryTalk,
But which kind of Octagon 20? because there is a range of octagon
20's at my local farm shop, and the sales person wasn't at all
helpful.
Regards,
Natasha.
