Quantity: 1 Age/hatch year: 24wks / P.O.L Location: J24 M1 Price: £80 P&P costs: Local pick up only BIRDS CAN BE COLLECTED FROM MELTON RARE BREED SALE SEPTEMBER 10TH 2011 Description: For sale is one large fowl black split cockerel (contains choc gene) and two Large fowl pure CHOCOLATE ORPINGTON HENS. Very close to show quality and there is several to choose from. We also had our first egg off the hens the other day. Over a 3 year period we have successfully developed the chocolate gene into large fowl orpingtons. We are now producing F3 and F4 generation livestock this year, we have three different breeding pens and we are crossing the chocolates out to blacks in various combinations to further improve type now that the correct size has be achieved, But please do be careful as there are lots of people selling large fowl chocolate orpingtons when they are only middle sized birds or have only been crossed out once. We created the LARGE FOWL CHOCOLATE ORPINGTON from the chocolate bantam and are trying extremely hard to get with our chocolate large orpingtons to show quality using our Black orpingtons which are of the highest quality being David Pownall bloodlines.
