I have 3 pekin hens that were laying daily but now they have taken to the nest boxes and stopped laying, any idea why?

Maybe they're broody? Bare underneath? Just want to sit in the next box?

They do sound like they're broody - especially in pekins.
You'll need to snap them out of it by taking them off the nest and putting them into the run and close off the nest boxes.

You can also put them in an upturned wire dog crate raised up on a couple of bricks for 3 days and 3 nights, so that the air circulates all around them and cools them down, snapping them out of it!
