so what old tips do you have? Do you remember any old wives
tales?
I'll kick off with;
1. If you soak used tea bags in Diesel and put them at regular
distances around your coop buried in the ground you'll have no
troubles with foxes
so what have you heard or what do you know?

1. Get blokes to wee around the perimeter to ward off foxes.
2. Put human hair on the fences to ward off foxes.
Both might also work for evil spirits!
3. Different colour eggs taste different.
4. The Shape of an egg can tell you what sex it is.
5. You'll catch bird flu from the chickens in your garden
6. You can't eat fertile eggs.
7. Eating eggs raises your cholesterol level.
Oh I could go on and on!!!...........

if a cockerel crows in a zulu village whilst sitting outside of the
perimeter fence, it means that an enemy is approaching to destroy
the village
if a black cockerel crows ontop of a sick persons house he is
calling the reaper to collect..(african traditional superstiotions
learnt whilst living with a tribe)

The vein on a cock birds leg determines how fertile he is (this one
is actually true nearly all the time!) The stronger the colour of
the vein the more fertile. You can actually guess quite accurately
the % fertility rate you will get from a cockerel once you've seen
a few.
And infertile eggs will raise your cholesterol but fertile ones are
good for you :).
