I am planning on keeping a couple of chickens in my small urban garden. They will be kept in a pen most of the time as we have foxes in the neighbourhood. I will let them roam when I am in the house though. Any advice offered will be welcome, I'm a complete novice. I just want to keep them as pets and look forward to having a supply of eggs! I hadnt really thought about chicken breeds having different temperaments before so think I will plump for a hybrid described as docile and friendly......am just soaking in lots of info at the moment. I am considering what type of coop and run for two birds. Someone suggested to me that silkies are freindly and not so destructful in the garden?? I look forward to being part of this forum. Any advice on where to buy reasonable priced housing would be appreciated. Thanks Jules

Thankyou I can't wait to have some hens! I'm trying to do as much research before taking the leap so I get it right.
